2026 Upstream Funding Cycle

We keep improving this process as we learn more and as the community’s needs change. Check out what’s new and see what we’re doing now!

What is new?

This year, we are making two changes to the Upstream Funding model. These changes are informed by research findings and conversations with Upstreamers.

  1. We are moving to a two-year funding cycle.

  2. We are adding an Expression of Interest process.

These changes will help create more opportunities for collaboration in the 2026 cohort and aims to give organizations more stability and space to deliver meaningful, sustained programming and outcomes.

Read the Application Guide and explore the Frequently Asked Questions to learn more about this funding cycle.
